  It was a bright, sunny day in Mobius. The clouds gracefully suspended themselves effortlessly above the grassy field that a familiar pink hedgehog, Amy Rose, was sitting in. She was gazing into the sky, but she wasn't looking at it's beauty. She was daydreaming of her seemingly one-sided love with the famous Sonic the Hedgehog. She wanted so despirately to embrace him without him running of before she reached him. She sighed desprately.

"Why do I still try?" she groaned to herself sadly, " Sometimes, it feels as though there is no hope left...Am I just waisting my life?" A tear slipped down her cheek silently as she thought over her depressing question. She quickly wiped it and regained her composure. She stood up proudly with her head held high.

  "Of COURSE Sonic loves me! Why else would he save me when I'm in trouble or whatever!" Her look of determination vanished is quickly as it had come. She sank back down to the ground. "Aw, who am I kidding..."

   She sat there for a second pulling a flower up from the ground. She picked 2 petals off of it and set the flower down. She held the delicate petals in her gloved hands.

   A violent wind blew the petals out of her hand and whipped her pink quills. She looked up from her now empty hands to see that the wind had been from her super-speeding crush, Sonic. He walked up to her.

"What's wrong, Amy?" Amy blushed hard, "ummmmm, nothing!" "Sure doesn't seem like nothing!" He replied with a concerned tone. She hadn't realized that she'd been crying while she was staring at the petals, but her blue hero had. Amy sighed, deciding to just tell him. "I can never keep up with you..." she stuttered. Sonic laughed, making Amy blush harder, which was almost impossible. "Is that all? I can solve that, easy!"

   He stretched out his hand to her. She looked at him, then down at his hand dumbfoundedly. "Y-you mean it!" "Of course, Ames!" She also reached out and their hands tightly clutched to the other. "Let's go!"

  Amy had never felt anything like the adrenaline she felt in those moments she was speeding through Mobius with Sonic. The wind violently whipped her quills and she could hardly keep her eyes open. She cried out in pure joy while Sonic smiled happily. After a while they stopped back in the same field Amy had been tear stricken in a short hour ago. But it was already sunset.

   They relunctantly released hands and stared into each others eyes. Both were glittering with joy, and a little something more. Sonic drew a little closer to Amy, and she the same. That's when it happened.

   They warmly embraced, and gazed deeper at the other. Then Amy kissed Sonic. To much of her suprise, he didn't pull away. He actually...kissed her back. After the most magical moments of her life, they stepped back and stood their stupified. After a few moments, Amy broke the silence, "Thank you Sonic...for taking me with you on your run..." He smiled softly, "No, I should be thanking you." Amy looked up to the sky, "I-I have to go home...I'll see you tommorow!" She quickly walked into the forest toward her house, "W-What just happened?"

   Sonic stood in the field a little longer, reflecting on the days events. His head perked up when he heard a small voice call to him. "Hi Sonic! What are you doing out here?" Tails said walking up to him. Sonic smiled, "Come on, it's about time we get goin'" He ran off. Tails tilted his head to the side in confusion. Why was Sonic so happy? He shrugged then flew off to catch up with his friend.
